WELCOME!

At Draggin’ Wing Farm in Boise, Idaho, we offer a wide selection of native and regionally adapted ornamental plants for water-conserving landscapes. Our plants are all perennials, selected for beauty, cold-hardiness and low maintenance as well as drought-tolerance.

On this website, you can:

*See our current listing of plants that will be available this year, at the Plant List tab. You will find my list of the best and easiest xeric plants available, the best groundcovers and flowering native plants--as well as a comprehensive list of this year's available plants. These lists will change throughout the year as availability changes.

*
View descriptions and photographs of plants by category (Groundcovers, Flowering Plants, Grasses, or Shrubs, Trees and Foliage Plants) at the Plants tab.  Please note that the division into categories can be somewhat arbitrary. Check all categories if in doubt.

*Check out the list of Natives that I will have available this year.

*Search for plants by scientific or common name, or search other keywords, such as “Idaho”.

*See photos of sample landscapes.

* Learn more about water-thrifty landscaping, or xeriscaping.

*See some photos of The Farm and find out what goes on there.

*Check out other resources on the web.

*If you have any questions, contact us.

At Draggin’ Wing Farm we are entering our fifth year of growing drought-hardy land-scape plants for Southern Idaho. Each year we experiment with new plants and are able to increase our range of available stock.
We are especially committed to working with species that are native to Southern Idaho and the Northern Rocky Mountain/Great Basin region. We also offer a variety of terrific xeric plants from other geographic regions, like the American Southwest, the Mediterranean and even South Africa.
We propagate most of our plants here at the nursery from seeds or cuttings, many collected locally. We use organic fertilizers and no chemical pesticides.
Our goal is to help you create landscapes with more beauty and less water!
